I am a recent BA Hons Producing graduate with experience producing short films within a range of budgets. Some of my recent projects include sole producer of the children’s fantasy puppet film ‘The Greenhouse Next Door’, made in collaboration with Bournemouth Film School. On this short film (with an equivalent budget of roughly £25,000), I undertook and delivered on a complex production featuring multiple set builds, several locations, crowdfunding, working with child actors and the trial by fire that is anyone’s first time working with puppets. The finished film brings to life a fantasy world that taught me a great deal about storytelling in short films and how the medium can be used to tell stories effectively. Most recently I served as a Production Manager on two BFI Director’s Lab micro-shorts produced in conjunction with Funding Futures at Bournemouth Film School. These were an opportunity to apply skills and gain experience on an intensive, fast-turnaround project and make contacts through the BFI. I also have experience running crowdfunders and fundraising events, raising over £8000 to produce ‘The Greenhouse Next Door’. CV available on request.
